Ornamental Fencing for Stadiums: Hub City Central Stadium in Jackson, TN

The Finished Product
Stand at the top of the hill at Hub City Central and the fence line is the first thing that frames the view. The new stadium sits right beside Oman Arena and is the home field of the Jackson Central-Merry Cougars. Black ornamental fencing wraps the outside of the track, running past the bleachers, the soccer goals, and the football field in one clean, unbroken line.
It's the kind of install that disappears in the best way. The pickets stay straight, the spacing stays consistent, and the black finish ties right into the light poles, the press box, and the dark lettering in the end zones. Nothing about it looks added on later.
That's exactly what a stadium fence should do.
Why Ornamental Fencing for a Stadium
Hub City Central is a big deal for Jackson. The Jackson-Madison County School System built it as a hub for the whole district, with seating for more than 2,400 fans, a press box, full concessions, and the district's first regulation track. It's JCM's first true home field, and it's open to every Hub City team. Thousands of people will walk through its gates every season, and the fence is part of their first impression.
Chain link gets the job done on a practice field. But on a main stadium, ornamental fencing says the facility was planned, not patched together. It gives the complex a finished, collegiate look while still doing everything a perimeter fence needs to do.
It also keeps the view wide open. Fans walking up, parents on the sidewalk, and coaches on the hill can see straight through to the field. You get a secure boundary without walling the place off from the community.
What the Fencing Actually Does
Looks matter, but a stadium fence has real work to do on game day and every day in between.
Controls the Crowd On a packed night, the fence line moves people toward the gates and ticket booths instead of letting them cut across the grass or onto the track. That keeps lines orderly and makes it easier for staff to manage who gets in.
Protects the Surface A synthetic turf field and a full rubberized track are major investments. Keeping foot traffic, bikes, and vehicles off them outside of scheduled use adds years to their life.
Secures the Facility After Hours A continuous perimeter discourages people from wandering in at night. That cuts down on vandalism, litter, and liability for the school or city.
Keeps Athletes and Spectators Safe A clear boundary between the stands, the sidewalk, and the field keeps kids and fans out of the way of runners, players, and equipment.
Built for West Tennessee Weather
A stadium fence takes a beating. It sits in full sun all summer, gets soaked through every spring storm, and takes the occasional bump from a mower, a cart, or a stray ball.
That's why the finish matters as much as the fence itself. A black powder-coated finish holds its color without chalking or fading and stands up to rust far better than painted metal. Maintenance comes down to an occasional rinse.
The install matters just as much. In West Tennessee clay, posts have to be set deep and anchored in concrete so long runs stay plumb and level. On a sloped site like this one, each panel is stepped or racked to follow the grade, so the line stays clean with no gaps at the bottom. Done right, this fence will look the same ten years from now as it does today.
A Field Worth Showing Off
Projects like this are some of our favorites. Cougar football, Hub City track meets, soccer matches, and community events will all happen inside this fence for years to come. We're proud our work is part of a facility Jackson waited a long time for, and one the whole district can show off.
